Manager Mobile Development

Prestigious Organization is seeking a Manager of Mobile Development, preferably someone who grew up as a mobile developer and then got into management over mobile development.

The Manager of Mobility is responsible for the oversight and development of mobile store applications for use in and supporting our stores.
This requires comprehensive knowledge of architecture, design, development, and implementation of store systems, including POS and mobile applications.
Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects.

FUNCTIONAL
Responsibilities:

Manages the development and deployment of applications for use by stores and Team Members.
Contributes to the overall architecture of the Store Application Landscape.

Reviews and analyzes existing applications and system effectiveness and efficiency, and develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.

Assesses and cultivates long-term strategic goals for Store Mobility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.

Cultivates, disseminates, and enforces functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.

Sponsors, promotes and executes on projects to prototype and pilot new technologies in stores, requirements

Hires, develops, and supervisors directs reports and allocating their resources appropriately.


Qualifications:

BA/BS degree.

10
years equivalent work experience.

4 years management experience leading teams.

Swift development highly preferred

Experience building and delivering highly scalable, reliable, and complex software systems on-time and on budget.

Experience in mobility and mobile applications is required.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.

Retail experience a plus

KnowledgeSkills/AbilitiesTrainingSystems

Comprehensive knowledge of architecture, design, development, and implementation of store systems, including POS and mobile applications.

Proven ability to effectively manage a team through coaching, mentoring, training and delivering evaluations of performance.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions.

Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team.

Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
