Now for the serious stuff. This position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining digital media platforms for the Tax Collector's Office to increase public knowledge, awareness, appreciation, and support of the agency's purpose and values. Training & Development Program, Tuition Reimbursement This is an onsite position in Fort Myers. The starting salary for this position is $48,500.00 but it could vary slightly based on experience. New employees are hired at or near the starting salary shown depending on qualifications and relevant experience. Main Responsibilities Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate digital media platforms to increase engagement, awareness, and support of agency initiatives. Oversee all editorial and visual aspects of the Tax Collector's websites, as well as functionality, performance, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Develop, write copy, and proofread new and existing content; ensure content is current and easily accessible. Lead all social media efforts and promotions identifying different messaging styles and opportunities for each platform. Create and implement actionable plans to grow audience on all digital platforms. Analyze customer research, engagement, SEO data, current market conditions, trends, and competitor information; present regular web/social analytic updates to the Communications Department and Leadership Team. Supervise and respond to user messages to build relationships and ensure a positive customer experience. Mobilize a network of employees who generate material that enhances the value and consistency of digital platform; develop and conduct social media training. Write, articles, brochures, newsletters, social media posts, and other materials. Video, photograph, and edit visual content for agency platforms. Collaborate with departments to stay proactive of key developments and issues to ensure timely, effective messaging. Assist the Chief Communications Officer in the day-to-day operations and activities of the department. Assist with development and management of social media policies; monitor digital platforms for adherence to content, format, and technical standards. Make recommendations on the purchase of hardware and software to meet digital performance goals. Performs other duties as directed. Requirements:
Job Requirements1. Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in online communications, public relations, computer science, or any related discipline and/or certifications. Supplemented by three (3) years' experience in design, implementations, and maintenance of web and social media sites. Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field and/or industry certifications preferred.2. Knowledge of social media channels, digital image and content capture. Ability to use analytics and metrics in decision making. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, resolve issues and respond diplomatically in all forms of communication.FLSA Status DescriptionPosition requires an extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas that can be used to develop policies and procedures as well as determining efficient and innovative ways to accomplish business strategies.Work ConditionsPhysical Ability:
