We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Electrical Estimator.
This position requires a candidate with a strong background in electrical estimation, coupled with project management expertise.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs while occasionally overseeing the successful execution and delivery of electrical construction projects.
This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Estimation:
Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and related documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
Collaborate with the leadership team to align estimates with project goals and objectives.
Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with estimates.
Cost Control:
Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring expenses and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
Collaborate with the finance department to track project costs and financial performance.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, obtaining and evaluating quotes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Conduct regular assessments of vendor and subcontractor performance to maintain quality standards.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and field personnel, to ensure seamless project execution.
Foster a collaborative working environment, promoting effective communication and problem-solving.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks associated with project execution and implement strategies to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and ensure project success.
Client Interaction:
Act as the point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Collaborate with the leadership to identify opportunities for additional services and expansion of project scopes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator and/or Project Manager in the electrical construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
Proficiency in using electrical estimating software and project management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate estimates and ensuring project quality.
