Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse OR Circulator to join our exceptional surgical team.
As an integral part of our Operating Room (OR), you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to patients throughout their surgical experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
Compensation will be based off of level of experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the OR environment, ensuring it is sterile and properly equipped for surgical procedures.
Assist the surgical team by providing the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
Perform pre-operative assessments, ensuring patients are prepared for surgery both physically and emotionally.
Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Monitor patients during surgery, assessing their condition, vital signs, and anesthesia effectiveness.
Administer medications and interventions as directed by the surgical team.
Document all patient information accurately and maintain thorough records.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of patient care processes.
Requirements:
Valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN, with previous experience as an OR Circulator a MUST.
BLS and ACLS certifications (current and maintained).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
