Major Purposes The Warehouse Associate:
Material Handler/ Forklift Operator is responsible for moving inbound, inter-warehouse and outbound products in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions Safely maneuver a forklift to load and unload shipments Move fencing product to appropriate storage and/or staging areas Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors Maintain and perform basic maintenance on forklift to ensure proper functioning of the equipment Load and unload material on platforms and lifting devices Utilize heavy machinery All other duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail Strong communication and writing skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work in an environment with a high level of noise and heat Requirements The Warehouse Associate:
Material Handler/ Forklift Operator must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Forklift certification (preferred) Basic math skills Basic measurement skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Decision making skills Outstanding organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Time management skills Ability to work with minimal supervision and determine task priorities Prior experience utilizing hand saw, table, saw, miter saw, etc.
Education/Experience Minimum three-year experience in as a forklift operator (Certification preferred) High School diploma or GED preferred Additional Requirements Candidate must pass drug screening test Must be able to frequently stand, walk, view computer monitors, give and receive oral communication, bend squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color.
Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, and type Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 20lbs occasionally life/carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing and pulling on a frequent basis.
Must be available to work weekends Must be able to work overtime as needed with short notice Job Type:
