The Units:
Comprehensive Progressive Care Unit - 3W & 2S Our state-of-the-art comprehensive care unit offers nurses an opportunity to work with a patient population with a wide variety of diagnosis.
33 beds multiple RN stations4.
1 or sometimes 5.
1 - rotating among RNsComprehensive Progressive Care Unit is HealthPark's only unit that takes care of stroke patients.
Our patients are often on telemetry monitoring with some cardiac drips.
Our most common diagnoses include:
stroke, PE and other respiratory culprits, Bipap needs, trach needs, high flow - 02, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, CHF, and SBOs.
Common diagnosis:
Stokes Telemetry monitoring with cardiac drips CHF congestive heart failure SBOs small bowel obstructions Respiratory culprits like:
PE (Pulmonary embolism), Bipap needs trouble breathing, Trach needs, high flow 02 Sepsis Alcohol withdrawal Why do our nurses love working here? Learn new skills - an opportunity to learn acute care skills with a progression to a transfer to ICU.

Summary:
Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Performs responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice utilizing critical thinking, management, problem solving and differentiation of urgency in the role of:
clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership and professional development.
Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards.
Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Supports the organization vision and mission.
Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.

Job RequirementsEducation Requirements:
Associates degree from accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelors preferred.
Experience Requirements:

Certification Requirements:
Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
