Must have a strong understanding of the relationship between inventory transactions/balances and their impact of the financial records.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and must be a hands-on person.
Attention to detail and accuracy in the performance of documentation and data preparation, dynamic ability to get things done, pitch in where needed, even out of the specified job area, are expected.
This individual must be able to work with a wide variety of personalities, all while under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities Issues parts/supplies to technicians and county employees; creates work order documents; manually pre-picks stock items from multi-level racking, in advance of issuance to Technicians; completes all necessary paperwork and computer work orders for parts/supplies issued.
Follows up daily with technicians to assure minimal downtime due to parts/supply needs and ensuring delivery schedules are met.
Organizes, cleans, and maintains stock room and inventory to include:
housekeeping and security, maintains labeling system on each stock item, manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned, distributes parts into bins and are properly numbered/inventoried.
Verify incoming shipments for appropriate quantity and quality.
Adds parts/supplies to work orders, reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy by paper and computer database system.
Monitors all invoices and credits for accurate pricing, including warranty items.
Uses parts manuals and various resources to research specialty items for vehicles, and equipment.
Makes necessary trips to vendors to pick up and drop off parts and supplies.
Performs weekly cycle counts and conducts physical inventory audits.
Performs a variety of general clerical duties including data entry and maintaining files and records.
May assist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed.
Performs related work as assigned.
