No more than 24 hours per week (Monday-Friday) Roles and Responsibilities This position is for the part-time investigation of missing persons both adult and juvenile.
The position is office based and does not require field work.
Primary responsibilities include investigation of missing persons through reading reports, speaking on the phone, analyzing reports and interpreting accompanied data.
Record keeping and computer skills are pertinent to this position.
Receives and analyzes information of a confidential nature, placing pertinent facts in proper files; evaluates information and prepares comprehensive analytical products and reports based on available data.
Reviews published data relative to developing trends and patterns of criminal activity and culls any information of importance.
Accesses data from a variety of law enforcement and other sources and prepares reports on same to assist in criminal investigations or intelligence assessments.
Additional duties to include, but not limited to:
identifies significant contacts, frequency distributions and patterns of calls; completes written reports; used crime analysis techniques, statistical analysis and basic time series analysis to view, evaluate and draw conclusions regarding patterns of crime; use other analytical methodologies such as financial analysis, case analysis, and strategic analysis on an as-needed basis; researches and reviews data; and supports and assists investigators directly in the compilation and analysis of confidential information.

), squat, and reach with hands and arms Repetitive motion using coordination, manual dexterity abilities, and ambulate independently See, hear, and speak Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements Must be 18 years old, or older Must have obtained a high school or GED diploma Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License or state-issued ID card Must possess a Social Security Card Must not have been convicted of a felony Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language Must be bilingual in the Spanish language and able to speak, write and understand it.
Also, required to translate in both the English and Spanish language Must have knowledge of basic math, filing, and basic computer skills Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Must have the willingness to learn LCSO programs and how to navigate them appropriately Must be able to communicate with the public in a professional manner Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment Must possess the ability to keep accurate records Must be able to tolerate potentially graphic material / language discovered in an investigation Preferred Requirements Exceptional knowledge of law enforcement operations Must be proficient in Microsoft software Must demonstrate the following:
self- motivated; the ability to work both independently and in a team environment; logical thought processes; persistence and willingness to make judgment calls Exceptional background in research, statistics and writing skills Exceptional computer knowledge to include Microsoft software, Excel, Adobe and Word Analytical experience is preferred with certification through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement or Alpha Group Application Processing Required All candidates must pass the following tests to be eligible for employment:
